I finally saw this film, a while a go. It was pretty good, I like some of the 3D effects plot was good too. Very native american (or native wherever) oriented. All in all, good film. Might get it on dvd/bluray, we will see.

Any Aussie of my generation knows where James Cameron got his idea from. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104254/
Totally ripped... "The magical inhabitants of a rainforest called FernGully fight to save their home that is threatened by logging and a polluting force of destruction called Hexxus." But... Avatar atleast looked good in 3D -s

Toss FernGully. Pocahontas and the Night Elves from World of Warcraft in a jar.. mix them up and Blammo! You've got Avatar.

I completely forgot about Ferngully. I do suppose the film was more about the 3D than anything, so I'm not too troubled.
